...of Simon's 8.5 months (in honor of his 4th birthday)

I just found this post from more than 3 years ago about Simon that I never posted! He is hours away from turning 4, so I thought I'd post it for fun. So glad that he now sleeps through the night and eats any food that we eat. And he doesn't toss his cookies any more, for which I am veeeery grateful. ***** Simon turned 8 months on November 17th (Abram's 4th birthday). In the interest of fairness, I am doing a post for each of the kids on their recent age milestones. Here is an update on Simon's 8th month of life! Weight:  8.6 kgs (That's almost 19 lbs and the 45th percentile) and 74cm (about 29.5 inches and the 90th percentile for length). He definitely does NOT have a problem with weight gain, like he had his first few months of life. Phew! Clothing size: 9 months. Because of the length. Actually, Quinn put him in a 3 month onsie the other day and he didn't look too absurd. But sleepers are a definite 9 months because he doesn't fit in anything else. ...

... of 2.5

Abram will officially be two and half tomorrow!  What a big kid!  Selah got quite a lot of blog time this last  year with her monthly posts, I thought I needed to do one for Abram at this special milestone.  I'll even use the same survey format.  Here goes: Date: May 16th, 2013 Weight: Just went to the doctor two days ago.  He was around 12 kg (or about 26.5 lbs).  I think that's somewhere around the 5-10th percentile?  That's almost exactly where he's been his whole life. Just sticking to that growth curve! Clothing size:  He has a few 6-12 month shorts, a few 12 month, a few 18 month, and a few 2T.  The elastic in the 2Ts are cinched as tight as they will go.  He definitely fits best in 18 month.  Shirts are pretty much the same.  18 month is best, but he's not swimming in 2T anymore.   Feedings per day:  He's like a real person.  So three.  And a snack (sometimes). Naps...

...of one whole year!

It's finally here, people!  This munchy face is officially one year old!  Can't believe it.  What a year it has been, too.  Selah has "lived" (meaning stayed for more than one night) in 7 different houses, been on 8 airplanes, had 3 viruses, and no major injuries, praise God!  Well, enough chatting, let's get down to business. Date: April 21st, 2013 Weight : No idea.  But she feels heavier and bigger!  My growing girl. Clothing size : 9-12 months. Feedings per day : 4 nursing, 3 meals, 1 snack.  We aren't doing baby food any more, which means a lot more mess. We are working on sippy cups with water, juice/water, and milk.  She seems to like the milk the best, actually, but doesn't do too well with it if she's recently nursed.  She's just getting the hang of the tipping and sometimes will accidentally suck from a straw, but really just wants to chew on it. Naps: By the grace of God, her naps have really taken a t...

... of 11 months

Late, late, late! But better late than never! Date: March 24th, 2013 Weight : Weighed her in the appliance section on the scales in the grocery store and she was about 8.5 kg, which is roughly 18.5 lbs.  I looked it up on the growth charts and that puts her right in the 50th percentile.  Talk about sticking to her growth curve.  Incidentally, I weighed Abram, too.  He was 11 kg (about 24.5 lbs), which is the 5th percentile for his age.  Also, quite a consistent kid.   Clothing size : 9 months.  The dress that I took her photo in is a 3-6 month from Gap, but I think it's just weirdly big.  My mom got it when she was born and I've been putting it on her every month or so to see if it would be the month it would fit her.  This month is the first time it doesn't look like she's swimming in it!   Feedings per day : 4 or 5 nursing, 3 solid food meals. Naps:  Maybe a bit more consistent recently.  Usually one a...
